Yay!

Looks better than that 'narrative' thing they had.  That was awful.

Let's hope this makes it into the retail boxes.

Reading through the FAQ now.

Mind=Blown

So far:
*AoE's have friendly fire
*The gold hoard is a physical object on the tile
*Archers can store one arrow without a quiver
*Hunting packs start at four squares away from heroes
*Bows require ammo (not surprising but clearly significant)

Edit:
*Chapter quests are optional during stories!

This is the thing I'm most happy about. Because otherwise when doing a story quest and suddenly drawing a chapter quest it really breaks the verisimilitude and immersion in the story.

Exactly. I've also found that they can throw the balance way out of whack. Drums of War (I think was the quest name) during Act III of No Rest was insane.

Gold hoards are placed on the tile ONLY if the setup requires it. This is not the same thing as with the reward you get after clearing a double sided tile. When you clear a double sized tile, resolve it right away. If a quest setup tells you to place a good hoard on the tile, then follow what the FAQ says.

Page 5 of the FAQ, under combat, says you must spend one die per monster-type, instead of one die per TN in the AoE of the attack.
Has it really changed or is it a mistake?

Nope, here is the exact text from the FAQ for Hoards.

"When setting up a Realm Tile with a gold hoard or treasure hoard, the hoard token is
placed in a purple highlighted area. Heroes must perform a non-combat action while
adjacent to a hoard in order to roll for the reward. After receiving the reward, the
hoard token is discarded."

Remi's correct here: if the quest specifically tells you to PLACE a hoard on the tile, then you do so; otherwise - such as in the case of clearing a double-tile - there isn't a physical token placed.  The difference here is that a physical hoard object acts as a quest objective, whereas the hoard in the second example is a reward gained for clearing the tiles.
Don't listen to anything I say.  I'm still a n00b.

I think we need additional clarification here because that is not my reading at all. It seems fairly clear to me from my reading that hoards are always physical objects. The portion you highlighted, Remi, does not specify for quests. It simply states "When setting up a Realm Tile with a gold hoard or treasure hoard." That is a blanket statement that can apply to any 6x24 or 12x24.

We're on the same page here, they should make it clearer!

I've already provided my arguments so I'll leave it at that until they say something clearer, but I was about to raise the different concerns/questions I have about the FAQ, so I'll make sure to include this question in it.

Ok. I hope I didn't come across as combative. I honestly didn't even see how that part could be interpreted differently until you pointed it out.
