Myth Tuckboxes
« on: January 12, 2014, 10:22:35 PM »
The character boxes are final (for now). I am attempting to get them on BGG, however it may take a while.

Character Boxes are now up for download on BGG.

An example of a completed tuckbox. I touched up the edges/fold lines with markers- there will be white fold lines/edges if you do not do this. The interior is something I did separate for myself, and not part of the files.
One of the shots shows 35 sleeved cards in the box. You can put the 31 Hero cards in with some breathing room (agent abilities, etc). Or run a 25 card deck and have room to stash items/titles between play sessions.

Character:

Items:

Bit limited on what I can do with these, since I don't have the game yet and online assets are a bit scarce at the moment, but I think they turned out ok. The watercolor look is intentional on the items to cover up some of the low resolution mess.

Thanks!

Great work. My vote for the back of the boxes goes to the alternate gender heroes :)

Will you make these available for other folks to print out?

And their fate symbol is:
Trickster : Guile
Skald : Faith
Spriggan : Nature

Awesome work by the way.

You'll have to put the same image on both side of the box for the Spriggan though, but those are great.

What size of paper/cardboard do you use?

Note : I thought the Spriggan had a vitality of only 3.

It looks like 1 will fit on a standard 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper.  You might be able to get 2 if you rotate the design and tuck it in upside-down on the top side, but that looks like it may be too tight.

I would personally use nothing short of a thick cardstock for something like this, or else it wouldn't have enough structural integrity.

They look nice.  I'm not sure if I'd use them or not (depends on how everything fits in the box as is), but it's a generous concept for the fans, none-the-less.

You could always leave the back blank and wait for the Druid artwork. They look way better than anything I could come up with. (Something in crayon perhaps) ;)

The druid will probably be available in both gender though, and it's been rumored that the druid's deck will be slightly different than the Sprriggan's, so he'll need his own tuck box.

Where was it rumored the Druid deck would be slightly different?  Official word up until now was that the deck would be the same.

Well, maybe I misunderstood Brian, but in an update he talked about the Druid having slightly different mechanics, so I took that as having a slightly different deck.

Edit : plus I think Endevor talked about it too, but I don't want to put words in his mouth, so maybe I can confirm.

Love the boxes.  Still trying to figure out storage solutions for the expanded game.  This definitely could help.

@CarelessOpossum what are the current dimensions of the boxes?

Trying to see if they'll fit in the insert I ordered.
