GenCon 2014 Projects

I posted this in another thread, and then thought this was probably the more appropriate forum.  This is my first project getting ready for Myth games at GenCon next year.  I'm still casting blocks. (I'm at about at half of what I need.)  This is the first of about a dozen builds I hope to get done before August, including an inn,  ruins, a battle up a castle tower, caverns, and a battle up a mountainside.



My current project I'm working on is a bigger version of this.  It's this wide, but twice the length.

The design piece I'm trying to get figured out is having removable tiles on top.  (So when using this as a trapped tile, the blocks fall out from the bridge.)  I'm experimenting with wood planks under the stone that all the tiles sit on top of.  I just want to make sure it's durable enough to hold up to this.

The simpler solution would of course be to just have the bridge as a static piece, and then use counters or markers to mark trapped tiles.  In the end, the bridge is basically a 3D version of the falling block trap from the demo.

If I do go with just using counters, I need to create "hole" counters.  Holes not only are not passable, they also work as part of a lair for the bugs that will play a part on this bridge.
